Mohai tannery was founded in 2007 in Santa Croce sull’Arno, the leather district, thanks to the experience and tradition of family rooted in the area since the early years of the twentieth century. In 2014 the company moved to Ponte a Cappiano, in the province of Florence, as a result of an evolution and expansion thus creating Mohai Group Srl. In this context the fourth generation, carries on the fruits of the trade learned from its long past, trying to develop the articles to present to the market, passing on their craft skills, building on the tradition but with attention to the future, renewing itself with new technologies, creating so a trend and quality product.
Our main products are half calf and suede for footwear, leather goods and small leather goods. Items can be processed on the customer’s request to allow customization of the finished product.
The leather district, is the background of one of the oldest arts in the world, that of tanning, a process which has now become more complex and sophisticated, a way to express human fantasies and modern currents.
The support and customer service are the basis of our work which is every day focused in the expression of the technical competence and in compliance with the commercial agreements taken. Our products are made of real cowhide. It is not always possible to remove small blemishes and veins, even after a careful pre-selection. These are not to be considered defects but characteristics of a true natural product.
